Obsolescence Management: As a solution to parts obsolescence and diminished manufacturing sources issues, GTS has re-engineered obsolete parts for the AEGIS Weapon System (AWS), US Coast Guard Shipboard Command and Control System (SCCS), and created the MK-99 Fire Control System (FCS) Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Reduction Kit. Leveraging on our expertise in engineering, manufacturing, repair, and logistics support for older and obsolete mission-critical systems, GTS evaluates systems deemed to be obsolete and critical to National Defense and provides re-engineered, cost effective replacement parts that are designed to meet shock and vibration requirements, as well as be form, fit, and function compatible with existing weapons systems. Engineers and technicians familiar with DoD systems and configuration management processes analyze and evaluate the current technology utilized by the particular weapons systems and make recommendations for either low-cost state-of-the-art technology insertion or reverse engineering of obsolete parts, while at the same time maintaining effective configuration control of all systems and provide a constant and reliable flow of spare parts for years to come. GTS provides an expedient solution, while incorporating technological improvements and increasing system and component functionality.
