GTS provides full repair service, down to the component level, for the Wavetek model 859 Pulse Generator and model 175 Arbitrary Waveform Generator. Our major customers include the Naval Inventory Control Point-Philadelphia, Pa., and the Naval Surface Warfare Center-Crane, Indiana. GTS has completed hundreds of repairs for these units and continues to do so on a regular basis. Included in our repair service is an enhancement of the output amplifier circuit card, which provides added reliability and stability to the model 859 Pulse Generator.

The 859 Programmable Pulse Generator is fully programmable for systems applications. Pulse widths, delays, transition times and output levels can be varied with three-digit resolution. Output may be one pulse per period, double pulses or symmetrical square pulses may also be complemented. It can be programmed from the front panel keyboard or via the IEEE-488 interface. Output modes include Continuous, Triggered, Gated Burst, External Width mode (to reconstruct or shape external signals), and time interval mode for extremely long pulses. 0.5 Hz to 50 MHZ frequency range, full 20 volt output, variable transition times, and ability to store and recall up to 25 complete setups in battery pack protected RAM.

The 175 Arbitrary Waveform Generator (ARB), generates any waveform that can be expressed as a function of time. The Random Access Memory is programmed to draw waveforms by time and amplitude. This can be done from the Front Panel or via IEEE GPIB interface. Waveform storage provides Sine, Triangle, Square, Ramp, Arbitrary and TTL Sync waveforms. Operation can be triggered or continuous. Triggering can be a preset number of cycles or number of cycles triggered can be displayed. Start and stop addresses are selectable for partial waveform output. At low frequencies, smoothing can be selected to minimize digital step size. Front panel operation is by keyboard and display gives verification of parameter or value in memory.
