SENSOR FUSION CENTER DEPLOYMENT TO BORDER PATROL STATION
February 2006 — GTS has been awarded Phase III funding from DHS Science and Technology Border and Transportation Security to install and perform operational testing of the GTS developed FusionCommand™. The FusionCommand is a complete Command and Control (C2) and sensor fusion system that integrates personnel and perimeter detection radar systems, existing unattended ground sensors and existing Integrated Video Surveillance System (IVSS) at Douglas Border Patrol Station in southeast Arizona. The system provides full Common Operating Picture (COP) functionality with live video, data access, situational awareness, GIS and blue force tracking. Additionally an interface to BTSNet to include ICAD data, additional situational awareness, GIS and Force Control functionality will be developed and implemented over the next several weeks. The system will be installed in an operational sector designated by Senior Border Patrol Investigative Agents for the initial pilot program and as a developmental test platform for emerging technologies. GTS is certain that the FusionCommand system has the capability and functionality to successfully perform many of the missions outlined in the SBInet Acquisition Program. The FusionCommand will enable capabilities currently not available and implement a new Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for border security.
