In order to pursue its mission, NSWC, Indian Head Division, requires technical, manufacturing, production, and programmatic support services to support the AWS organizational, departmental, and programmatic requirements. Support services that GTS may be tasked to provide include:

• Program/Project management
• Manufacturing, development, upgrade, modernization, and support of AWS peripherals, mass data storage devices, sensor technologies, IC2S, and perimeter defense systems
• Limited quantity prototype development
• Technology refresh including Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) infusion/insertion
• Obsolescence identification, assessment, evaluation, and reduction
• Diminished manufacturing source management
• Installation
• Testing
• Logistics support
• Technical documentation support
• Engineering analysis and market survey services
• Data management
• Environmental testing support
• Development of R&D test tools
• Depot repair
• Participate in required meetings and reviews such as Program Review, Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Production Readiness Review (PRR), In-Process Review (IPR), and Integrated Logistics Support Planning
