GTS has been awarded a contract by the Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) to design, develop, integrate, test and demonstrate a X-Band Solid State Power Amplifier and a W-Band Solid State Power Amplifier for use with radar systems used on aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and satellites.

 

The X-Band Solid State Power Amplifier is intended to replace the existing Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) Amplifiers within the AN/APS-151 Radar, and the W-Band Solid State Power Amplifier is intended to be compatible with the W-Band Forward Looking Radar, both providing light-weight and reliable performance and a significantly higher Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF).
