In a series of test flights in the Tampa Bay area, GTS collected Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data using the AN/APS-151 Search and Imaging Radar designed and built by the Airborne and Space Division. The tests used the PPI capability of the radar to cue the SAR data collection. SAR images were produced in-flight and on the ground. Flights were conducted along the coastline of Pinellas county using the GTS King Air B200 test aircraft.
